Wazuka Town and Minamiyamashiro Town are the main production areas of Uji tea, and many other types of tea are produced there in addition to tencha.
Tencha and Gyokuro are mainly grown in Ujitawara town and Uji city*.
Joyo City, Yawata City, Ide Town, and Kumiyama Town are high-quality producing areas where only tencha is cultivated. Although the production volume is small, there are many dedicated farmers.
Our factory is located in Ujitawara-cho, and we deliver matcha not only throughout Japan but all over the world.
*Uji matcha does not only refer to tea grown in the administrative district of "Uji City." The Uji region, the tea-producing region where Uji matcha is grown, includes not only these 10 cities and towns, but also parts of other prefectures.
